Design for Export Awards | Nominations now open

The 2018 Business SA Design for Export Awards are now open to South Australian exporters of goods or services.

This joint initiative between Business SA and Good Design Australia aims to discover, celebrate and activate export-focused design excellence in South Australia.

“Design as a Business Strategy is a globally recognised driver of export growth, and celebrating the design achievements of our incredible exporters is an important catalyst to inspire and activate our cities, towns and regions to design and develop more world-class products and services,” said Good Design Ambassador, Paul Huxtable.

Last year, the Design for Export Awards attracted submissions from five regions across South Australia, representing 12 diverse industry sectors exporting to over 140 countries.

The Design for Export Awards also provided a pathway for last year’s winner – the MicroX ‘Carestream DRX Revolution Nano’ Mobile X-ray – to enter the internationally acclaimed Australian Good Design Awards to win ‘Best in Class’, a Korean Good Design Award, and a nomination for the Good Design Award of the Year at the Sydney Opera House in May 2018.

“SA did incredibly well at the Sydney Opera House with 14 winners including three ‘Best in Class’ winners nominated for the Good Design Award of the Year” Mr Huxtable said.

If you are exporting products or services and use Design as a key business development strategy, check out the application process below. Applications close 31 July 2018.
